- 25 Oct, 2018
TinyMOS is trying to become the GoPro of astrophotography. Its next camera will be another big step in the direction, called the NANO1. The camera will take the crown of the world’s smallest astronomy camera the newly unveiled NANO1 is only one-third of the size of the TINY1 and offers multiple improvements over the original including greater portability, increased resolution and dual mount lens system. It is weighing less than 3.5oz 100gm. The size and portability will make the NANO1 nearly weightless camera option for taking on long hikes to mountains or wilderness, but what it gives up in size it gains. In term of power, the TinyMOS claims the NANO1 will 3 times more powerful than the tiny one. Inside the camera is a Sony backside illuminated sensor that will allow it to capture the 12MP still photos up to 4 MP and 4K videos. The front of the NANO1 features a dual interchangeable lens for both M12 and seamount. The NANO1 will launch with iOS and Android companion Apps, that will allow users to control download and share photos. There will also be an accessory line that will be designed to pack flat.
